Vincenzo Corvello is Associate Professor at the Department of Engineering, University of Messina. He teaches Open Innovation and Strategy and Organization for the Bachelor and Master degree in Management Engineering. His research interests are in the fields of artificial intelligence, innovation management in startups and SMEs, technology adoption and organizational theory. In these research areas, he is the author of more than 100 international papers published also in top ranked journals such as Journal of Innovation and Knowledge, Technovation, Management Decision, Technological Forecasting & Social Change, and Review of Managerial Science. He is Editor in Chief of the European Journal of Innovation Management, Associate Editor of the Journal of Open Innovation: Technology, Market, and Complexity, Editor of Emerald series in sustainable innovation management and member of the Editorial Advisory board of European Journal of Innovation Management. He is Organizing Chair of the Society of Open Innovation Conference and Program Chair of the International Conference on Finance, Economics, Management and IT Business.

Giustina Secundo is Full Professor in Management Engineering at Department of Engineering, University LUM Giuseppe Degennaro (Bari, Italy) where she manages the Master’s degree in Management Engineering. She is Vice Rector for Innovation and Third Mission and coordinator of the Knowledge transfer Office at LUM University. She teaches Digital Transformation and Project Management for the bachelor and Master degree in Management Engineering. She is the Director of the Master in Digital Transformation of the Public Administration at University LUM (Bari), Executive Master Program in Cyber security and Artificial Intelligence and, since the academic year 2025-2026, Scientific director of the Higher education program on Artificial Intelligence and Cyber security (Valore PA). Her research regards the Digital transformation of the Academic entrepreneurship, Technology Entrepreneurship, Digital Innovation ecosystem and Open Innovation. In these research areas, she authored more than 230 international papers published in top ranked journals such as Technovation, Journal of Business Research, Technological Forecasting & Social Change, Management Decision, European Journal of Innovation Management. She is co-editor of the International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behavior & Research (Emerald).

Dominik K. Kanbach is Full Professor and Chairholder of Strategic Entrepreneurship at HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management in Germany and Research Professor at the University of Warsaw in Poland. He leads the Strategic Entrepreneurship Research Group at HHL and is co-founder and Academic Director of DIGITAL SPACE — The HHL Entrepreneurship Hub focused on incubating digital business models and serves as Academic Director of the Doctoral Program at HHL. His research interest covers the fields of strategic management, entrepreneurship, and innovation management, especially in the context of Artificial Intelligence. His work is published in leading international peer-reviewed journals. He holds several editorial positions in journals including Review of Managerial Science, European Journal of Innovation Management, International Journal of Entrepreneurial Behavior & Research and Journal of Organizational Change Management.

Antonio Cimino, Ph.D. is Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Management Engineering at the Department of Engineering at University of Messina. He teaches Organizational Analysis and Design and Digital services for business and public administration for the Master degree in Management Engineering. His research interests are mainly devoted to appropriation of technology (AI in particular) in private and public organizations, innovation management with focus on open innovation in startups and SMEs, business process management, smart manufacturing and Industry 4.0 and production systems design and management. In these research areas, he is the author of more than 85 publications in international journals and conference proceedings, including papers published in leading journals such as Journal of Innovation and Knowledge, Management Decision, Technological Forecasting & Social Change, Journal of Manufacturing Systems, Business Ethics, the Environment and Responsibility, Computers and Industrial Engineering. He is Associate Editor of the Business Strategy and Development Journal and member of the editorial board of the European Journal of Innovation Management. He is General Co-Chair of the International Workshop on Simulation for Energy, Sustainable Development & Environment and member of the scientific committees of several international conferences.

Vittorio Solina, Ph.D., is a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Industrial Engineering at the Department of Mechanical, Energy and Management Engineering, University of Calabria (Italy). He teaches Production Systems Management in the Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and Simulation in Logistics in the postgraduate Master’s Degree in Industry of the Future and Smart Manufacturing. His research focuses on the design and management of sustainable and resilient supply chains, digital transformation and innovation management, human-centered operations and technology management, Industry 4.0/5.0 and smart manufacturing. He is the author of more than 90 scientific publications in international journals and conference proceedings, including papers published in leading journals such as Technological Forecasting and Social Change, European Journal of Innovation Management, Management Decision, Journal of Manufacturing Systems, Computers & Industrial Engineering, International Journal of Production Research. He serves as Associate Editor of IET Collaborative Intelligent Manufacturing and is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Innovation & Knowledge. He is also Program Chair of the International Conference on Industry of the Future and Smart Manufacturing (ISM) and a member of the scientific committees of several international conferences.

Maurice Steinhoff is Assistant Professor for Entrepreneurial Management at the HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management in Germany and Professor at the WSB University in Dąbrowa Górnicza/Katowice, Poland. He is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of HHL DIGITAL SPACE — The Entrepreneurship Hub focused on incubating digital business models. His research interest covers the fields of entrepreneurship, strategic management, and innovation and is published in leading international peer-reviewed journals.
